HWA-based PDK Product Overview
The HWA-based PDK for Certified Wireless USB provides:
- Host wire adapter dongle
- Based on Intel Wireless UWB Link 1480 silicon
- SMA cable and attenuator for device connections
- PDK is for conducted use only. Over-the-air operation is not supported
- 1 Meter cable and SMP-to-SMA adapter included
- 30dB Attenuator included
- Software
- Wireless USB Compliance Validation Test Suite (WUSBCV) from Intel Corporation
- Preproduction quality Wireless USB Drivers from Microsoft Corporation are available (see below)
- Preproduction quality Wireless USB Drivers from Stonestreet One are available (see below)
- Documentation
- User Guide and start-up documentation
- Instructions to allow multiple devices and analyzers to be connected at one time
What else is needed to use the HWA-based PDK?
The following items are needed to use the HWA-based PDK but do not ship with the PDK.
- PC system with available USB port
- 512MB of RAM or higher recommended
- 40GB hard disk or larger recommended
- Preproduction quality Wireless USB Drivers from Microsoft Corporation (for Windows Vista)*
- Responsibility of PDK purchaser to contact Microsoft Corporation for access to drivers. You may download the preproduction quality drivers by visiting www.connect.microsoft.com. If you do not have access (i.e. Participation) to the Wireless USB Drivers section of this site, please contact Zach Little at Zach.Little@microsoft.com to be added as a Participant.
