Interoperability Worksheets are provided by the USB-IF to record results during test sessions for each stationary vendor suite,  while the other team will accompany the second product sample during roving testing in the USB-IF and other stationary test suites.

** Host vendors must bring a Wireless USB device to demonstrate functionality

Information

  • You must pre-register each individual from your company attending the workshop using the online form (USB-IF Members only) by Sunday, July 12, 2009.   The USB-IF Wireless USB Pretest  is required for all Wireless USB vendors.  Please send Pretest Log files to USB-IF Administration by April 19th  to complete your registration.
  • A special, mandatory check-in session will be held Monday, July 20th from 3:00 to 4:00PM for all Wireless USB vendors. Wireless USB vendors hosting a test suite must be set-up and prepared to begin testing at 8:15AM on Tuesday, July 22nd and staff their stationary suite for testing through 12:00PM on Friday, July 24th.
  • Devices using a detachable cable must use a receptacle and cable currently on the Integrators List .
  • It is strongly suggested that the Wireless USBCV tool from the USB-IF website be pre-installed on systems
  • Wireless USB Interoperability - The USB-IF currently offers Wireless USB silicon certification based on the latest UWB Microsoft driver install.  Enumeration and functionality of all peripherals under Microsoft Windows 7 (Beta version) is mandatory.  If the peripheral cannot function with the drivers provided by Microsoft, vendor supported software and drivers can be used after submitting feedback at Microsoft Connect. Host Wire Adapters require the vendor to provide software; drivers; and, if applicable, firmware (DFU) to demonstrate operation with Microsoft Windows 7 or Microsoft Windows XP. NOTE: Microsoft Windows XP can be used to demonstrate operation of the peripheral; however, the peripheral must implement certified silicon.
  • To insure DWA backward compatibility, it is strongly suggested to supply a Host System (Preferably a Laptop for portability) running as a WUSB host system with a user interface when ELEC testing downstream ports on a DWA.
  • The Vendor ID (VID) used by commercial products should match the Vendor ID of the Integrator. Products should not use the Vendor ID of the USB silicon vendor. Vendor IDs will be checked and verified at this and future workshops. The device will not be eligible for the Integrators List unless it reports the correct VID for your company.
  • Each individual vendor is responsible for their own shipping to and from the event.
