Final SuperSpeed USB Developers Conference

The USB Implementers Forum is proud to announce the final SuperSpeed USB Developers Conference! This is your last opportunity to hear directly from the creators of SuperSpeed USB and obtain key learnings on how to incorporate it into your product roadmaps.
The conference will be held at the Hilton Amsterdam Hotel in Amsterdam, The Netherlands on March 9-10, 2011. The conference will provide detailed information about the SuperSpeed USB (USB 3.0) specification and valuable knowledge for product implementations.
Early-Bird Rate Extended
The early member registration deadline has been extended to Monday, February 28. The attendance fee for this event is US$495 for USB-IF member registrations received by February 28 and US$645 for USB-IF member registrations received after February 28. The attendance fee for non-members is US$995. This will be the final SuperSpeed USB Developers Conference.

Keynote Speaker Bios

Jeff Ravencraft
Jeff Ravencraft is the President and COO of the USB Implementers Forum (USB-IF) industry trade association. Having recently retired from Intel Corporation, Jeff has been actively involved in wired and wireless technology and standards for many years.

Alan Berkema
Alan is a Senior Technology Strategist in HP’s Imaging & Printing Group. Alan joined HP in 1985 and has devoted his entire career to networking and I/O connectivity technologies. For the past 15 years he has been a pioneer in numerous standards organizations and has served as Chair of several different working groups. Alan is driving USB 3.0 innovation across HP’s entire product line including, printers, personal computers, servers, mass storage, and mobile devices. He has been awarded 10 US Patents.

Chewei Lin
Chewei Lin is currently the Vice President of Motherboard Business Unit, Open Platform Business Group, of ASUSTek Computer Inc.-the number one manufacturer of motherboards and one of the best PC companies in the world. He is also the President of ASMedia Technologies Inc., a company with outstanding teams in IC design field. Prior to this, he had been working in VIA Technology Inc. for more than 14 years and had played different important roles. With an MSEE degree from Missouri Columbia University, as well as product development, and more than 15 years experience in the chipset market, he is a professional and expert in this field.

Richard Chen
Richard Chen currently holds the position of Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing at GIGABYTE Technology CO., LTD. He started his career in motherboard development at Award Software Inc., where he enjoyed the position of Director of Engineering after 15 years of top class BIOS development experience. He joined GIGABYTE in 2000 as the Software Team Leader, and became the head of R&D for the motherboard giant from 2006 through 2010, during which time he spearheaded the introduction of a number of industry leading USB related technologies that include GIGABYTE 3x USB Power and On/Off Charge.
